At Marathi Kala Mandal – Washington DC (MKM), our mission goes beyond celebrating festivals and cultural traditions. While we are deeply committed to preserving and promoting Marathi language, arts, and heritage, we strongly believe in giving back to society and creating meaningful social impact.

Through our activities, we aim not only to inspire the next generation to stay connected to their roots, but also to support educational, social, and humanitarian initiatives that uplift underserved communities.
Who We Support
As part of our social responsibility, a portion of MKM’s proceeds—including membership fees and event earnings—is contributed to nonprofit organizations in India that are making a tangible difference. Some of the organizations we proudly support include:

Deepstambh Foundation works towards empowering students from marginalized and rural backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities, by providing education, skill development, and mentorship.
