Cricket Game Rules
1. Team & Playing Rules
- Each match will be played with 11 players on the field.
- All players must be part of the registered squad.
- All roster changes must be locked before the team’s first match of the tournament.
- Once a team plays its first match, the roster is locked and no new players may be added.
2. Player Eligibility for Semi-final and Final
- No player is permitted to play directly in the Semi-final or Final.
- Every player must have participated in at least one League Stage match before being eligible to play in the Semi-final or Final.
3. Match Format
- League Stage matches and Semi-finals will be 12 overs per side.
- The Final will be 15 overs per side.
- Each team bats for the allotted overs or until all players are out.
- Standard cricket rules apply for runs, boundaries, strike rotation, and dismissals.
4. Bowling Restrictions
- League Stage & Semi-finals: A maximum of 2 bowlers may bowl up to 3 overs each.
- Final: Any bowler may bowl a maximum of 3 overs.
- Bowlers must deliver fair deliveries with no overstepping of the front line.
- No-ball will be awarded for overstepping or illegal bowling action.
- Wide balls will be penalized as per standard rules.
- Free hit may apply for no-balls as per tournament rules.
5. Fielding Restrictions / Powerplay Rules – LCCL Standard
- 12-over matches / League Stage & Semi-finals: Powerplay applies for the first 4 overs. During powerplay, only 2 fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
- 15-over match / Final: Powerplay applies for the first 5 overs. During powerplay, only 2 fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
- Standard dismissals apply, including bowled, caught, run-out and LBW if applicable.
- Clean catches must be taken without touching the ground.
6. Bat Regulations
- Players may use any type of cricket bat, including plastic, fiber, wooden, Mongoose, Scoop, or regular bats.
7. Substitutes
- Substitutes are permitted only in the event of a player injury, subject to approval of the Organizing Committee.
- Substitutions are allowed only with organizer approval.
8. Player Participation
- Players are not permitted to participate only as a batter or only as a bowler and then leave the venue.
- All players are expected to remain available for the entire match unless approved otherwise by the Organizing Committee.
9. Late Arrival
- Players arriving after the completion of the first innings will not be allowed to participate in that match.
- Teams must report on time for their matches.
- If a team does not arrive within 10–15 minutes of scheduled match time, the team may be required to play with one less player.
10. Result & Tie-breaker
- The team with the highest runs wins.
- In case of a tie, a Super Over or tie-breaker will be used as decided by the Organizing Committee.
11. Tournament Management
- MKM may use CricClubs.com for tournament management, scheduling, real-time scoring, and match updates.
- Player selection and team management may use CricClubs performance data where applicable.
12. Waiver, Refund & Conduct
- All participants must sign waiver forms provided by MKM and the sports facility.
- No refunds will be provided once registration is completed.
- Any misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior may lead to disqualification.
13. Umpires’ Decision
- The decision of the on-field umpires is final and binding.
14. Disputes
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to interpret these rules and make the final decision on any disputes or situations not covered by the rules.
- The Organizing Committee’s decision will be final and binding.
Team Formation & Player Auction
Team Formation Rules
- Each team will have a designated Team Owner.
- Each team will consist of 13 players.
- Team Owners can pre-select / retain 6 players.
- Remaining 7 players must be selected through the auction.
- Each Team Owner will receive 5000 MKM Coins.
- Owners must manage their budget strategically while bidding.
Player Auction & Categorization
- Player auction will be held 4 weeks prior to the tournament.
- All registered players will be included in the auction pool except retained players.
- Players must submit CricClubs statistics during registration.
- Players will be categorized into A / B / C tiers based on performance.
- Categorization ensures fair and competitive bidding.
